ABOUT THE ARTIST
Annie Hawkins-Brownlee
As a self-taught oil painter for over 40 years, I am endlessly captivated by vast open spaces, solitary landscapes, and coastal waters. Through muted colors and simple compositions, I invite viewers to engage with the scenes, while capturing the essence of light, texture, and drama to bring my artworks to life.
Hi Annie,
I just wanted to let you know that I’ve received your painting.
Thank you so, so much, it is lovely, as I thought it would be.
I love the little story that goes with it, so very thoughtful of you.We haven’t hung it on the wall yet, as soon as we do, I’ll send you a photo.
Row, row, row your boat will definitely give me much joy and I’m very grateful I discovered your talent on Bluethumb.I’ll get in touch soon with photos. Meanwhile, Thank you again and take care.
Kind wishes
Hello Annie,
I have recently bought print 1 of ‘Vivienne’ and adore it. My only regret was not snapping up the original so grabbed the print as soon as it appeared. I love isolated houses, mountains, snow and grew up with sheep so your paintings really touch me. Your sheep are brilliant. I can actually see their movement as they walk with heads down :)
Hi Annie
We received our painting in perfect condition and we love it. We will send you a photo once installed. Thank you Annie so much for all your beautiful work – we cannot wait to see this up on our dining wall for all the family to enjoy at gatherings. Thank you again and I hope you have lovely and safe Christmas.
Kind regards.
Hello again Annie,
I just wanted to let you know that it was I that purchased your wonderful “Once Upon a Time”.
I love the warmth the painting is able to project. The mix of golden fields with moody storm clouds gives me quite a sense of comfort.
The scene reminds me of areas I have spent time in too, in both N.S.W. and Victoria. That also makes the painting more relatable and comforting to me.
I look forward to being able to admire it in person for years to come here in my lounge room in Geilston Bay, Tasmania.
Dear Annie,
Barbara and Dolly arrived yesterday and I absolutely love it. I spend most of my spare cash on art and have brought a few paintings from Bluethumb, I have never really been disappointed however often they can look better online than in the flesh, yours is the complete opposite. It looks so much better in real life than it did on line, the detail in Barbara and Dolly is fantastic.
Thanks again, I really love your work.
Hi Annie
My painting arrived today and it looks absolutely awesome. I dropped it at the framers today. I will send you a pic once its hung.
Kind Regards,
Hi Annie,
I am absolutely thrilled with your painting – thank you so much. It is just wonderful to look at – to absorb the colours and peacefulness but also the expectation of a storm. And I love storms!
didn’t mention to you earlier that your painting is in fact a 70th birthday present from my husband and the best present ever. It will give me a lot of pleasure over the coming years.
Wow….wow…wow… you are amazing. That looks phenomenal. You have exceeded my expectations. WOW!! It’s perfect Annie. I love it. Thank you! You have outdone yourself.
